Dr. Jyoti Zaman (Co-Founder)

President & CEO

Dr. Rownak Jyoti Zaman (Co-Founder) is the President & CEO of Onera AI Technologies. She received her BS in Electrical Engineering from the Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (BUET) in 1994, MS from the University of Texas at Austin in 1996. She also has a PhD. from UT Austin in Electrical Engineering. She was a visiting scholar at Stanford University. She worked at Advanced Product Research and Development Laboratory in Motorola, International Sematech in Austin, and also at Aixtron and PDF Solutions. She was a co-founder of a startup for Yield enhancement product.

Dr. Akhtar Mahmood (Co-Founder)

VP of Research & Development

Dr. Akhtar Mahmood (Co-Founder) is the Vice President of Research & Development of Onera AI Technologies. He previously served as the Vice President for Research & Innovation at the Center for Robotics Innovation and Development-USA, and Kambaii Health. He received his BSc. degree in Computer Science in 1992 from Pennsylvania Western University, MSc. in Physics in 1994 and PhD in Physics in 1998, both from the State University of New York at Albany. He is a Professor of Physics and the Co-Director of the Noyce Knights Scholars Program at Bellarmine University. At Bellarmine University, he established a National Science Foundation (NSF) funded Supercomputing Center that is linked to the US Open Science Grid (OSG) cyberinfrastructure, a NSF funded state-of-the-art Advanced Visualization and Computational Lab equipped with a large Hiperwall visualization display system, and a Robotics Research Lab that is equipped with various robotic devices, including a AI-controlled humanoid robot, several robotic arm, a bionic arm, and several rovers. He was featured among the 20 People to Know in Education and Workforce Development by the Louisville Business Journal in 2017. Since 1995, he has co-authored over 300 peer-reviewed research publications in Physics involving Big Data and has received over $4.5 million in federal research funding from the National Science Foundation (NSF) and NASA for various projects. He has worked at the ATLAS experiment at CERN (known as the European Center for Particle Research) in Switzerland, and was part of the research team at CERN’s Nobel Prize winning discovery of the Higgs Boson (the subatomic particle that gives mass to everything in the universe). He was part of the NASA’s SimLite Exoplanet Mission project at the Jet Propulsion Lab (JPL) at Caltech. Previously, he conducted his research work at Cornell University’s CLEO experiment at the CESR (Cornell Electron Storage Ring) accelerator facility and Stanford University’s BABAR experiment at SLAC (Stanford Linear Accelerator Center). His research work in the late 1990s led to the discovery of eight new subatomic particles, known as Charmed Baryons.

Mr. Mohammad Rashid

Mohammad Rashid is Manager at Onera AI Technologies. He is always on the trail of the next big tech innovation as an avid trekker at hear as he brings over 15 years of expertise in wireless communication, radio-wave propagation, and academic positions. He is currently pursuing his Ph.D. at the University Technology Malaysia (UTM). His contributions to the field are vast, with 16 published articles in prestigious journals and IEEE conferences. His professional journey includes roles as a Graduate Research Assistant at UTM, a Project Member for the European Space Agency's Ka Tropical Campaign, and a Research Fellow at the University of Nice Sophia Antipolis, France. Passionate about technology, Rashid is committed to continuous learning, as evidenced by his certification in Fifth Generation (5G) Radio Access Network Planning and Technology Coexistence from the ITU Academy. Beyond his professional pursuits, Rashid keeps pace with the latest tech trends, always eager to stay ahead in the rapidly evolving landscape.
